AMERICAN HERITAGE MERIT BADGE
Notes about this class
This class will have online weekly meetings each Monday at 1:00 PM for 3 weeks.
There are two requirements Scouts will need to complete before the course and email to the Counselor listed below:
Req. 3a - Select a topic related to the United States that is currently in the news. Describe to your counselor what is happening.
Explain how today’s events are related to or affected by the events and values of America’s past.
Req. 3c - Research your family’s history. Find out how various events and situations in American history affected your family.
If your family immigrated to America, tell the reasons why. Share what you find with your counselor
There is no minimum required length for either of these as long as the Scout feels that what they have written has adequately summarized the topic.

Participation Details
Your counselor will be in touch with how to join the class. If you do not hear from them please reach out via email to them.
Blue Cards
Scouts are asked to provide with written proof that their Scoutmaster has given approval for them to start the merit badge.
That can be done with a photo of a physical blue card, an email from the Counselor or similar method.
After the completion of the badge Scouts will mail the Counselor a physical card to be signed.
