DelDOT's Cohan committed to community service DOVER -- Although we see the work of the Delaware Department of Transportation on the roads every day, we don't have the chance to see the woman behind the agency -- Jennifer Cohan. In the midst of a professional life dedicated to the improvement of Delaware, she has been chosen as the recipient of the 2016 Kent Distinguished Citizen Award by the Boy Scouts of America, Del-Mar-Va Council.

Del-Mar-Va Council to honor Campen and Smith The Del-Mar-Va Council, Boy Scouts of America, recently announced that Judge Sidney S. Campen and Al Smith have been selected to receive the 2015 Distinguished Citizen Award. They will be honored at the annual awards dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Tidewater Inn in Easton.
Teen encourages locals to'take a book, leave a book' A Salisbury teen hopes to encourage area residents to take a book, leave a book. Its all part of Douglas Buck's Little Free Library project in Wicomico County. Buck built the four library boxes for his Eagle Scout project. The 16-year-old is a member of Boy Scout Troop 176 in Salisbury.
Anglers Teach Disabled Vets Fly Fishing at Akridge Veterans from the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford teamed up with experienced fly anglers with the Saltwater Fly Anglers of Delaware for a fishing outing on Saturday evening. Boy Scouts were there to help, too.
Dashiell to Be Honored as BSA Distinguished Citizen The 30th Annual Lower Shore Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. This year the Boy Scouts will honor Charles R. "Chip" Dashiell Jr.
Eagle Scout's good deed shines the light on other scouts "I was 13 when I got my Eagle. At the time I was the youngest in the state of Delaware," he said.
So he was happy to follow the Boy Scout slogan 'Do a good turn daily' when scout leaders asked him to help out at the new Akridge Scout Reservation between Dover and Camden.
