2022 Citizen of the Year Event

The Del-Mar-Va Council, Boy Scouts of America is proud to honor Tom Horne, Head of Chase Consumer Branch Banking and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Delaware Market Leader as the recipient of the 2022 Citizen of the Year Award, the BSA’s highest community honor and flagship fundraising event on Delmarva. The event is co-chaired by Don Mell, Executive Director & Site Lead Delaware Market JPMC, and prior award recipient Chip Rossi, Market President, Bank of America.  Horne will be honored on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in a celebration at the Oberod Estate near Wilmington, DE. The evening's festivities will include food, drink, fun and the conclusion of our silent auction.

Mr. Horne is currently the Head of Consumer Branch Banking for Chase and responsible for leading a team of 41,000 employees and all sales and services across Chase's 4,700+ branches. He also acts as the firm's Market Leader for Delaware and served on the JPMC Diversity & Inclusion Council, chaired the Consumer and Community Banking Diversity & Inclusion Council.. He is the Executive Sponsor of the firm's Black Organization for Leadership Development (BOLD) for the Mid-Atlantic region, the Executive Sponsor of both the Delaware Diversity Equity & Inclusion Council, and Year Up.

Mr. Horne is a cornerstone of the Delaware community and received the Citizen of the Year Award for his extraordinary leadership as a role model for our community's youth.

Funds raised by this event support a variety of Scouting programs including workforce development, programs for low-income youth, STEM and conservation programs, and much more. All funds raised by this event will help to further the mission of the Boy Scouts of America - to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
