       ORGANIZATION:   

      The 2017 National Jamboree is open to all who are qualified on a first come basis.  To be eligible for consideration, you must be an actively registered youth member, a First Class and 12 years old or have completed the sixth grade by July 1, 2017. Scouts will be assigned to a jamboree troop consisting of 36 Scouts and 4 adult leaders. The council contingent will consist of 3 troops.

      COST:   $1,550 $1,375 for NEWLY REGISTERED Scouts if paid in full before February 11, 2017

And a $100 referral credit to the Jamboree Scout who encourages you to sign up.

     FEE INCLUDES:

     All bus transportation to and from the jamboree site at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, West Virginia, Meals, insurance, troop and patrol equipment, Jamboree hat, backpack or water bottle (TBD), two limit edition jamboree shoulder strips, troop numerals, trading patches, backpack, duffel bag and pre-jamboree training. The only additional expenses will be your personal equipment (sleeping bag, etc.), 2 uniforms, patches (optional) and spending money. 

    PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

    Full payment is due now. All payments will be accepted by credit card on the Del-Mar-Va Council website http://www.delmarvacouncil.org/registration/calendardetail.aspx?ActivityKey=1807269&OrgKey=1516

    REFUND POLICY:

      If you are selected for the jamboree and then find that you cannot attend, you will receive a full refund (less a $100 processing/reservation fee) only if there is an alternate to take your place by March 1, 2017.  If there is no alternate, a partial refund will be made upon approval. Requests for refunds must be made in writing and must include the return of any official jamboree patches that have been issued to you.

    You’ll need to register at both websites. You will need your Youth Member ID from your Membership Card or call Council to get this. The Council # is “081”.  Please read the application carefully and fill it in completely.  Instructions are online. Print the Request to Attend form. Get any required signatures - yours, your parent or guardian's, and your Scoutmaster.
