A: The National Jamboree is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Scouts, with almost every conceivable activity available to try. Unlimited shooting; try SCUBA; take almost any Merit Badge you can think off; rappel as often as you want; ride a Motocross course; canoe; kayak; the list goes on…….The trip includes 10 days of more fun and activities than you can imagine. All transportation, meals and activities are included. Your only other expense will be uniforms and money for patches and souvenirs. If you would like someone to come to a Roundtable or Troop meeting to talk about the Jamboree, just let us know. We have a video and pictures from the last Jamboree that we’re happy to share. Q: My son is 12 but not First Class. Can I still sign him up? A: Yes, but your son must reach First Class by the time of the Jamboree. This can be some additional motivation! Q: Is this first-come, first-serve? A: Yes, for the most part. We will accept Scouts in the order that reservations are received, except that all Scouts must pass an interview by their provisional Troop leadership. The interview is focused on ensuring that the Scout is mature; active in their unit; a good team player; and a worthy ambassador for DelMarVa Council.
