STEM-botics
@Henson Scout Reservation
Want that next great technological step in Scouting? Come to STEM-botics at the Del-Mar-Va Council STEM-botics Program hosted at Henson Scout Reservation.
Scouts will need to be age 13 by July 15th, 2020.
All food is catered, with snacks during the activities. This is planned as a "Second" week of Scouting for those that want more science & engineering not available anywhere else. This is a NON-traditional Scout camp where Scouts are encouraged to bring computers and cell-phones for activities. The day activities shift to late morning and late-night, and only technical science Merit Badges are offered. X-Box and multi-player LANB party are some the "Campfires."
This Camp offers a science equivalent of COPE with Scientific Enabling Team Experience - SETE is a team-oriented course composed of scientific high-adventure activities for individuals.
This week is limited to 120 Scouts in regular Troops or Provisional Troops (similar to Jamborees) of 36 Scouts each with two camp adult Leaders.
Other programs planned include training in drones, several levels of NOVA, Webmaster setup training, electronic devices for bikes, bridge building, large trebuchets, radio direction finding, advanced cryptology, 3D printing - - futuristic fun activities
Planned Merit Badges include Astronomy, Aviation, Chemistry, Digital Tech, Electricity, Electronics, Energy, Engineering, Game Design, Inventing, Moviemaking, Nuclear Science, Programming, Robotics, Space Exploration, and more! NOVA Shoot! NOVA Whoosh!, and NOVA Start Your Engines are in the program.
