"It's a Shore Thang" Fall Camporee at Pintail Point

October 17-19, 2014

Our theme this year is, "It’s a Shore Thing," which celebrates the great outdoors! We are pleased to be able to offer a program that showcases the best of Life on the Shore including Shooting Sports (Archery and Shotgun), waterfowl, fly fishing, and hiking. We will be offering the Fly Fishing (additional $5.00 charge) and Shotgun Shooting Merit (additional $30.00 charge) badges on a first come, first served basis (space in the Merit Badge programs are limited, so register soon!) We will also provide rank advancement activities geared towards new scouts, to help them learn to live in and enjoy the outdoors. We will have a campfire cook-off and award prizes for many of our activities including marksmen, angling, cooking, and campsite inspections. We will also have a pumpkin carving contest – but don’t lose, because if you do your pumpkin may become ammo for pumpkin chunking! Troops are encouraged to use their best pioneering skills to make slingshots, catapults, centrifuges, trebuchets, or pneumatic cannons and take their best shot!
