Cost per Scout: $12 Tent Camping (Site will be assigned)
                          $10 Cabin Camping (To reserve a cabin contact Lisa at 302-622-3300 x127.
                          Cabin costs are above the event cost)                             
                          $5 per Scout Late Fee (if registering within 2 weeks of the event)

This year will require patrols have a prefabricated base of a sled prior to starting the Klondike.  The day of the competition, the Scouts will be required to finish the sled by lasing the railing and handles. 

This link provides an example of sleds we are looking for. Some deviation is allowed, but all components must be lashed onto the prefabricated base.  The Klondike will be a full day competition of stations, which will rely on patrol method and scouting skills.  The top patrol will be awarded the Golden Nugget for a year, which is the annual trophy that passes from annual Klondike winner to winner. 

Stations will be run and sponsored by the Troops.  We are requesting volunteers from the Troops, at the minimum, two adults per Troop.  The adults will be part of the event's core staff and invited to attend our December (12/11/18) and January (1/8/19) planning meetings. To be held at the LDS church of Newark, DE at 7 pm.

The adults will help in the facilitation of other activities that cannot be assigned to the Scouts.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds: All refund requests should be directed to Del-Mar-Va Council Outdoor Programs, 1910 Baden Powell Way, Dover DE 19904. PARTIAL REFUNDS for Scouts not attending the event program will be given only if the unit notifies the Outdoor Program Office in writing at least 14 days prior to the unit's scheduled arrival date at the event. There will be no refund for cancellations within two weeks of the event attendance except for medical reasons. Partial refunds for cancellations due to medical reasons will require a doctor's note.
