Richard A. Henson Scout Reservation named for the famous aviator and philanthropist from Salisbury, Maryland has been in continuous operation by the Del-Mar-Va Council since the summer of 1965. The original name has been retained in the current facility that is called Camp Nanticoke. The 1485 acres of prime wooded pinelands was purchased by the Council. An additional 392 acres are leased. The property and facilities are maintained at the highest possible standard.  The beautiful natural resources of the property have recently been noted in the Nature Conservancy’s “Last Great Places” campaign.

At Del-Mar-Va Council camps the fee your Scouts pay is "All Inclusive" There are no hidden or additional fees for any other camp programs or services. This makes Del-Mar-Va Council camp fees LOWER than many other Scout camps! A camp patch is also provided for every participant at no additional charge. The only other money your Scouts may need is for the camp Trading Post! Customized camp T-shirts are available at the Trading Post by prior order.  

Two adults attend FREE with the first 10 Scouts who attend! An additional free leader attends for each additional 10 Scouts! Multiple leaders are permitted to share the "free" adult leader space allocations during the unit's week. Change of leaders must be logged in at the Camp Admin building when they occur.

Before 5/2/2022 a discount of $25.00 will apply to all Scout - All Inclusive Fee! Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
The $200 Reservation Deposit required when making a reservation is non-refundable under all circumstances. A non-refundable Scout Deposit of $50 per Scout is due on or before February 1 to reserve the number of spaces needed for your scouts. Unutilized $50 deposits can be transferred to another Scout who is not already on your roster, i.e. reassigned to a new Scout, but cannot be refunded. These deposits are intended to secure adequate spaces for your unit, the deposits are non-refundable based on the number of spaces you reserved and may not be applied to any other balance on your account. After February 1 and/or when a session fills to capacity, the availability of additional camper spaces will be determined by the Camp Director. Eligible fees & discounts are based on the date payments are received. An Early Bird Discount of $25.00 per Scout will be applied to all transactions conducted on or before May 1. Every Unit Receives 1 Leader FREE, with 10 Scouts 2 Leaders are FREE. 1 Additional FREE Leader with every 10 additional Scouts over 20. Provisional Scouts (individuals camping without their unit) are not required to pay the Site Fee to complete a registration. Do not enter 1 in the Troop Fee block. Provisional scouts should select "Provisional Scout Henson" or "Provisional Scout Eagle Base" for required facility selection. The Camp Director will assign campsite locations on an individual basis. Camp Scholarship requests for Del-Mar-Va Council units are due on or before April 1. All scholarships awarded will be applied to this registration in the name of the Scout on the campership request. Camperships are only in effect for the individual for whom the request was made and may not be transferred to other Scouts. REFUND POLICY. Eligible refund requests must be received in writing at least 2 weeks prior to your camp date. There will be no refunds on cancellations within 2 weeks of camp date, except for medical reasons. Medical refund requests must include a doctor's note. The $50 non-refundable Scout deposit will be retained in all cases. Due to additional contractual obligations, after June 1, the non-refundable amount increases to $100 per Scout. Written refund requests must be received by the Outdoor Programs team on or before Sept 1.
